Nicholson 32 In Excellent Condition
Go-Anywhere yacht ready to go. With a super reliable SAAB diesel (starts every time), and £1,000 just spent refurbishing her sails, she can be sailed or motored anywhere. She also has an Aries Windvane and a Autopilot (remote controlled), so can be easily sailed single handed.
A rather unique feature of this boat is that she has a wheel but she can also be used with her tiller that simply slots into place if you wish to use it.
I have refitted her with a larger bunk and brand new mattress in the saloon for comfort, but the table is still there if you wish to convert her back again.
This Nicholson is in great condition having been recently out of the water 2 months ago, antifouled, everything checked, new Toilet and Engine Thru hulls and valves replaced. The sails are in great shape and the rigging is good – most of the running rigging is new and the standing rigging was fully replaced 6 years ago (receipts available).
With an SSB radio, new toilet, Brand new (still in box VHF with GPS), an extra fitted fore stay for ocean sailing, spare lines etc, she is very much all there.
There is a reason these boats are called the ‘Land Rovers of the Sea’, as this one will take you anywhere. I have an excellent survey from 2019, and proof of the standing rigging replaced at this time too. Mooring paid in Brighton Marina until 31st March 2026.

Laid up at home address in cradle.  Part internal restoration before ill-health prevented further work.   Hull and deck in fair condition.  New mast kit included together with hydrovane self steering.  Needs completion of refit to suit new owner and new engine and gearbox unless wish to recondition the existing Watermota and ‘J’ type gearbox.

Presently on hard standing at the boat yard in Galway, has been out the water now sinse April 2024 and ready for some TLC to be brought back to her former glory.

Priced accordingly as lots of work yet to be done, mainly:

-Rudder may need to be rebuilt as crack in the underside created an exposed cavity that let water into the inner fibreglass.
-Minor osmosis in a couple of patches will likely need a patch before a new coat of paint and antifoul.
-Windless is siezed and may need replacing.
